New Staff

Andrea Thomas —

We would like to welcome our two new staff members to the Titirangi School whānau.

Lisa Sparey has been appointed as our Learning Support Co-ordinator.  She has previously worked at TPS and we are excited to see her return.  She will be working with tamariki and whānau to offer support in a range of contexts - from those students needing extra support to those needing extension with their critical thinking skills. She is very passionate about supporting children to reach their true potential as a learner by discovering their strengths and finding ways to inspire new ideas. Lisa has worked in schools in Aotearoa and overseas as a classroom teacher in all year levels of primary education and has previously worked as special needs coordinator, taught gifted programmes including philosophy for children, lead syndicate teams, developed inquiry programmes and also been a literacy leader in the school. We are so pleased to have her back at TPS!

Andrea Holmes will be teaching at TPS as a performing arts specialist.  She comes to us with a wealth of experience. She has previously worked as a dance and drama teacher and provided group lessons in drumming, ukulele, guitar and music composition using computer software. She was  the rock band tutor at GEIS - she's done all!  All classes will have two half days with her to have a taster of the performing arts.
