From Titirangi to Frankfurt: Dana Takes Award-Winning Journal to Germany

Andrea Thomas —

Dana Turner, one of our senior school's Year 5/6 teachers, will be attending the Frankfurt Book Fair this October.

Dana’s passion outside teaching is the Arts and Literature Sector within New Zealand. She was one of the founding members of Folly, a literature and arts journal that started four years ago.

Folly has been recognised internationally, winning a number of awards within the last year including an CLMP Best Literary Debut Award, Best Indie Publishing Award and most recently, the cover photograph of issue 002 (commissioned by Dana) is a finalist for National Geographic Photograph of the Year.

Folly received funding from Creative New Zealand to attend the internationally acclaimed Frankfurt Book Fair, representing the New Zealand Publishing Sector. We wish Dana all the best as she embraces this exciting opportunity, representing NZ on the world's stage.
