This term the children of TPS were lucky enough to be able to participate in the Kotuitui writer’s challenge.

Everybody had the opportunity to create a piece of writing based on the theme “Whatungarongaro Te Tangata, Toitū Te Whenua”. This whakataukī speaks to the importance and permanence of whenua - while people come and go, the land remains the same.

The competition was open to many of our local schools and broken up into two key categories, Years 0-3 and Years 4-6. Congratulations to Florence W and

Lexi J who placed 1st and 3rd in the Years 4-6 category.
