Last Thursday the Kōtuitui Mathex Competition was held at Kaurilands Primary School. There were 15 teams competing from 8 different primary schools.

We sent two teams of four;

TPS #1 - Mona Laban, Josh Wang, Atticus Cook, and Manaia O’Connell.

TPS #2 - Florence Ward, Freya Garton, George White, and Rigo Shaw.

Reserves - Zach Gardner, Matthew Jaques.

Mathex is a challenging and fast-paced mathematics contest where teams of four students compete against each other to answer questions as quickly as possible. They need to answer 20 questions within 30 minutes. The team with the most points at the end wins.

Our teams represented Titirangi Primary well, showing fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship. TPS #1 came 3rd with the maximum of 100 points. TPS #2 came 5th equal with 85 points.

The children should be extremely proud of their achievements and how they competed.
