We're incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Mason (Year 6) and Ariah (Year 5)

Alongside their four teammates, Mason and Ariah were crowned 2026 New Zealand National Junior Team Badminton Champions, winning the Under 13 White Shield at the championships held in Palmerston North from 5–8 July.

With more than 930 players competing across multiple age groups and divisions, this was a huge event and an incredible accomplishment.

The team trained tirelessly in the lead-up to the tournament, and their hard work, dedication, determination, and resilience truly paid off. What an amazing journey! It began with a simple goal of "Let's give it a go," grew into "We're in the final!" and finished with "Let's go for gold!" — and that's exactly what they did!

Congratulations, Mason and Ariah! We are so proud of your commitment, teamwork, and achievement. We can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

Celebrating past Student Success

We're also delighted to recognise former student Olivia, who, alongside her teammates, won the 2026 New Zealand National Junior Team Badminton Championships Under 15 Howat Shield at the same tournament.

Olivia and her team showed the same incredible dedication, determination, and resilience throughout their training and competition. Their journey from "Let's give it a go" to becoming National Champions is an inspiring example of what can be achieved through hard work and believing in yourselves.
