Mathex is an exciting and fast-paced mathematics competition where teams of four students race against the clock

Mathex is a competition that focuses on problem solving, and speed, where teams of four compete to be the fastest to solve all the questions. Since 2023, there has been an Interschool Mathex Competition held with our local schools competing.

This year we took along two teams of year 5/6 students, the competition was last Thursday at Kaurilands Primary. We had a great morning, the energy was high and the brains were locked and loaded. We faced some tough teams, and even tougher questions.

Although we didn't place, the school is very proud of the kids for all their effort and their hard work leading up to the competition. Jackson, Maddie, Rigo, Emily, Rory, Xan, Brianna, Sumayya, Sophie, and Campbell - they are amazing mathematicians who worked well together and had a great attitude. We look forward to having another go next year!
