Continuing our celebrations of student success, we’re thrilled to share this Kea Kids News piece featuring our very own Sumayya from Room 15 reporting.
The children were very lucky to have Zac and Matthew from Kea Kids News visit last week to run workshops with the senior students. Everyone loved their enthusiasm, humour, and expertise. They demonstrated how the microphone and camera work, and spoke about ways to appear confident even when feeling nervous. Some students had a turn interviewing each other in front of the camera and using a microphone to experience what it’s like to be a news reporter. These new skills will be especially valuable for the children in the Student Newsletter Group when they conduct interviews with other students or staff at school.
Sumayya was a natural as she got to interview in front of the camera!
Congratulations, Sumayya! We’re so proud of you — don’t forget to give us a shout-out when you’re doing interviews on the red carpet next!
We love celebrating the incredible achievements of our tamariki, both in and out of school.
If your child has achieved something special — in sport, music, dance, drama, art, cultural activities, science, technology, community service, or leadership — we’d love to share their story in our school newsletter or on social media.
Let’s inspire others and continue to celebrate the many talents within our Titirangi School whānau!
Please get in touch with Suzanne if you’d like to feature your child.
