Western District Cluster Inter-School Cross Country

Office Admin Titirangi School —

Our inter-school cross country team competed in the Western District Cluster competition at Konini Primary on Tuesday 26th March.

The team consisted of 6 groups of boys and girls teams from 8 year olds up to 10 year olds. TPS tamariki were some of the top runners.

10 Year old girls, Gabrielle finished 6th.

9 Year old girls, Emily 7th and Maia 6th.

9 Year old boys, Mack 5th, Xan 4th and Nathan 3rd.

8 Year old girls Rowan 9th and Sophie 10th.

8 Year old boys Nathan 8th.

We had two runners win their events in spectacularly close finishes. Both our winners came from behind at the very end to claim top prize in their races.

A massive congratulations to Bianca, who was the quickest 9-year old girl in the Western District, and Alfie, who was the fastest 8-year old boy in the Western District!

Titirangi Primary finished in 4th place on the day and Woodlands Park were the overall champions.

Every runner represented the school well and we are grateful for their efforts, as well as the whānau who came and supported us on the day.

We wish to acknowledge Blake and Kiran who have led this team, trained and supported them in the lead-up to the event. Your lessons in teamwork and perseverance will be remembered by our tamariki for years.

The team was so well-prepared and we thank you for giving up time in your weekends to train them on the event course. Congratulations!
