Kōtuitui Writers' Challenge

Office Admin Titirangi School —

This term some of our very talented writer's participated in the Kōtuitui writer’s challenge.

The children had the opportunity to create a piece of writing based on the theme “Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō.” Hold steadfast to your place of origin or sustenance.”. This whakataukī speaks to the importance our Ūkaipō, a person or place that sustains us and makes us feel safe and secure.

The competition was open to many of our local schools and broken up into year group categories.

Congratulations to the following children who achieved top three placings, Ivy C - 1st place (Year 1/2), Molly C - 1st place (Year 3/4) and Amy S (Year 3/4). Well done, this is a fabulous achievement!
