Student Council Leadership Conference

Office Admin Titirangi School —

What an opportunity! Six members of the student council were chosen to represent TPS at the Leadership Conference at the Trust Stadium

This was connected to World Vision and we talked about climate change, poverty and the kids that are suffering from lack of water, shelter, food and education.

Some people in the world are lucky to have good food and a roof over their heads and some don’t have much. The world vision group explained how we can make a change in the world, how we can help unlucky kids to be more luckier and what leadership means to us.

All the speakers and leaders were so inspiring.

We created a two minute pitch on an idea to help out the world. Our idea was related to the environment and what's happening to it.

We shared our pitch with another school from Māngere. Only six out of sixty schools were chosen to share their pitch on stage and guess what?...We were one of them! We learnt so many skills about public speaking, connecting, leading others and planning. I think all the leaders there had the urge to do something... something really important to make a difference.

What difference can you make?
