Lunchtime groups Bollywood dancing, coding and pottery

Office Admin Titirangi School —

We have more groups to tell you about, thanks again to our generous teachers who offer such wonderful activities.

Bollywood dancing

Priya in Rm 18 is thrilled to be teaching Bollywood dancing to Yr 5 & 6 girls. She will also be sharing some dancing videos so the girls are able to practice their moves over the holidays. We look forward to seeing some real Bollywood performances in the new term.

Pottery

Yr 1 and 2 children are invited to join the pottery club during lunch time on a Tuesday. Tamariki learn basic skills of working with clay and clay tools e.g. wedging, rolling, pinching and then also to join clay by scorching, making slip and smoothing the clay. After the clay has dried out and been bisqued they will get the opportunity to glaze the product and take it home.

Watch out for our next project - Matariki stars!

Coding

The coding club is where students are using Scratch which is a block based coding platform. During the term the students will be working on a multi-level maze game. It is currently for a selected number of students from the Year 4-6 classes who have access to devices. At the end of next term students will have a chance to play each other's games.
