Introducing Our 2026-2028 Strategic Plan: A Roadmap for Our Future
We are thrilled to officially share with you the Titirangi Primary School Strategic Plan for 2026-2028. Our school's vision is to inspire every learner to thrive and succeed (Whakahihiri i ia akonga ki te tipu me te angitu) - this is the destination we are travelling towards and our strategic plan will guide us - just as the Matariki stars guided the waka for kaumoana, using it as a key celestial marker to guide them across the Pacific Ocean.
Built on Your Voice
This plan is not just a school document; it is a reflection of you. To ensure our goals are responsive and fit for purpose, we spent considerable time collecting and analysing feedback from our parent community, staff and students. By identifying patterns in your hopes and aspirations for our tamariki, we have shaped a strategy that truly reflects the unique heart of Titirangi.
Our Three Strategic Pillars
Our plan is built around our three core values that will drive everything we do:
1. Ako Tahi – Learning Together
We are committed to ensuring every ākonga has a rock-solid foundation in literacy and numeracy. Beyond the basics, we are integrating STEM and digital technology to foster the "21st Century Skills" our children need: creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
2. Manaakitanga – Care & Respect
Wellbeing is at the centre of learning. We will continue to make our school values and learner profiles an explicit focus, linking them to proven systems like Mitey, Restorative Practice, EnviroSchools and Pause, Breathe, Smile.
3. Whanaungatanga – Relationships & Belonging
We acknowledge our responsibility to uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi, as well as ensuring every student sees their identity reflected in our school. This means celebrating diversity and inclusion - we want all whānau members to feel that their mana is upheld when they walk through our school gates.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, you will see these goals come to life through new initiatives, from "Bug Hotels" and Arbour Day plantings to digital pepehas and community working bees. We have already actioned Tuakana/Teina relationships across the school and have started planning for our outdoor Art Exhibition.
We want to thank everyone who contributed their thoughts and feedback. We are confident that this plan provides a balanced, holistic education that prepares our learners to be achievers, thinkers and engaged citizens.

Together, let’s make these next three years extraordinary.
