TPS School Cross Country
Last week our school had the Syndicate 3 & 4 Cross-country followed by Syndicate 5/6 runners. We have not had a Cross-country event at our school for two years due to the flooding last year.
Our students were very eager to take part in the school competition. We have always recorded the top 3 place-getters but this year, we did the top 10 so that students can remember the place they achieved and to give them something to improve on the following year.
In recent times our whanau races/events (Parents and Teachers) have become very popular with more and more adults taking part.
Thank you to Chris Petrie, Chris Barnett, Steve Ayers, Justine Cliffe, Sophie Bell, Lilly Smith, Kiran, Blake, Mrs Booth (The Easter Bunny) and Kevin Kinver. Steve Ayers placed 1st, he was too fast to catch and ran at a good pace.
It was an eventful morning with a huge turn-out from the community and all the runners enjoyed their morning.
