We had a wonderful Pasifika Fono this term, which gave us the opportunity to talk to caregivers about education and culture of Pasifika students at Titirangi School.

The evening started with a performance from students, followed by talanoa and then a shared meal. 

One highlight was seeing students singing and dancing with pride. Another was listening to the stories of parents of when they went to school - it was an evening of sharing and collaboration.  

Plans are underway for the next gathering, with hopes to expand the event to include more cultures and parent groups.  Our goal is to have an event that will include all cultures coming together for performances, discussion and kai.
