EPro8 Lunchtime Groups
This year, we’ve introduced EPro8 lunchtime groups for small groups of Year 5 and 6 students.
EPro8 is a hands-on engineering and problem-solving programme that encourages students to work collaboratively to build structures, solve challenges, and think creatively.
These lunchtime sessions offer a fun and engaging way for students to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) concepts in a practical setting, while developing teamwork, perseverance, and innovative thinking.
The photos show the students designing and building a fire engine using our construction equipment set! They worked brilliantly as a team, sharing ideas, problem-solving, and making adjustments as they built. The students carefully planned how to create a sturdy frame, added wheels for mobility, and even designed a moving ladder to represent a real fire truck.
It was fantastic to see their creativity and teamwork in action, and they were so proud of their final creation.
Thank you to Mrs. Wike, for running this programme over your lunchtime, and for making it so exciting and challenging for the tamariki.
