Lunchtime groups Recorder, Colouring Club and Singing Club

Office Admin Titirangi School —

At TPS, we’re lucky to have such talented teachers who generously offer a range of free clubs and activities for our students to enjoy.

There’s something for everyone, including Pottery, Pest Control, Bollywood Dance, Recorder, Singing Club, Enviro Group, Kapa Haka, Coding, and Colouring Club.

These opportunities give students a chance to explore new interests, develop skills, and connect with others in a fun and relaxed environment. Through our newsletter, we’ll be featuring a selection of these groups each week.

Recorder Groups

There are two recorder groups operating at school this year. The Beginner group runs every Tuesday and is for students who have never played before.

They learn how to hold and play the instrument, a few basic notes and how to read simple musical notation, before they decide whether they enjoy it enough to continue.

The Advanced group runs every Wednesday and is for students who have existing knowledge of how to read musical notation, or can already play simple songs on the recorder.

We hope to work towards some group or school performances during the second half of the year.

Colouring Club

This club is a quiet and relaxing way to spend your lunchtime if you enjoy colouring in. We provide a wide variety of colouring in pictures and felt pens. Colouring club is on every Friday. Year 1 children head over to Mrs McKenzie in Room 23 and Years 2 and 3 up to Room 10 to Mrs Mawson.

Singing Club

Love to sing, then this is a club for you. All children are welcome to come to the hall on a Wednesday lunchtime to meet Andrea and Mrs Mawson to sing.

We have a selection of songs, songs that are partner songs, songs that we sing in a round, songs with actions and beats! We are happy to take requests for songs you love. This club is relaxed, fun and everyone is welcome to sing!
