Writing Corner, today's piece by Year 4 student Julius

Office Admin Titirangi School —

As part of our in class writing programme and the PD for teachers we are receiving with Writer Tool Box, children and teachers are learning the different sentence types and strategies to make our writing awesome! When we do a piece with these new aspects we can receive feedback about how we are going and our next steps. This is a great motivator! Well done Julius from Room 15 for receiving 100% in not one but 4 of his pieces! Here is a sample of his writing!

Caspian padded along the ivory covered ground,
while the walls seemed to cast shadows over him.
The shadows swished and turned as Caspian ran through the tunnel.
The tunnel was grey and musty, as he got deeper he felt the shadows swallowing him up.
Suddenly Caspian lost all sources of air in the tunnel.
While he was laying on the ground the shadows seemed to speak,
they were saying in muffled voices" what should we do with him".
Caspian felt dazed and confused.
