Extend your English language skills

Office Admin Titirangi School —

English conversation for 'stay at home' parents or grandparents.

Do you have parents or grandparents within your school community who would like to extend their English language skills in an informal, friendly environment?

Next term, the Upstairs Gallery in Titirangi, sponsored by Lopdell Trust is setting up a series of seven, two hour sessions to promote English conversation for 'stay at home' parents or grandparents.

These sessions, which will be based in the Seminar Room, level one Lopdell house. They will run from 12pm to 2pm on the following Thursdays.

  • 17 July

  • 24 July

  • Break for one week

  • 7 August

  • 14 August

  • 21 August

  • Break for one week

  • 4 September

  • 11 September

These are free sessions in which participants are encouraged to bring some hand work to work on. This handwork will be used as a basis for facilitating natural conversation to build English language skills

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

We have around twelve places available for this pilot series and these workshop sessions will develop according to feedback of need within our community.

The informal sessions will be facilitated by an experienced ESOL teacher.

Because spaces are somewhat limited we wanted to give you a heads up as soon as possible so you could pass the information on to those within your community who are interested and would benefit from a friendly place to develop their English language skills.

If you have people who are interested they can email Carlos at
