We had an amazing turn out for the whānau picnic and have more events planned for Term 2.
The sun was shining and we enjoyed an afternoon of food and games on the school field. The lines for the sausage sizzle and the ice creams were long but everyone was patient. The afternoon ended with the very popular Tug o' War which became very competitive!
One of our school values is Whanaungatanga - which is about building relationships and a sense of belonging - we try to do this for learners, staff and also our amazing community of parents, whānau and caregivers. The picnic is an important part of our school calendar, designed to help us to achieve this.
Our goal around whanaungatanga is to create regular, annual opportunities for all stakeholders to connect and collaborate.
Next term we have another big event planned - The TPS Quiz Night, which will be held on Saturday 22nd June at the Titirangi RSA. We hope you will be able to come along to this event - it is always a night of laughs mixed with some healthy competition. Lots of information will be shared next term but if you have any questions, please reach out.
If you are worried about filling a whole table, you also have the option of putting your name down to join a table needing numbers - I would encourage you to do this - it's a great way to meet new people.
Coffee mornings have started back on Wednesdays - it was a bit tricky finding a van with availability - I am hoping to keep this as a regular booking.
Our school isn't just a place of learning; it's a hub for building relationships and nurturing a sense of belonging. We aim to create an environment where everyone feels welcomed, regardless of their background, abilities, or interests. At Titirangi School, we believe that everyone should feel valued, respected, and supported.
