Head Girl - Mariya Jose

My name is Mariya Jose, and I’m delighted to be your Head Girl for this year!

Just a little bit about me; I’m originally from Kerala, India and I moved here to Dunedin in 2011 along with my family. I went to primary school at St Joseph's, and then later on to Sacred Heart School. I love playing sports in my free time such as volleyball, and badminton, and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing these for Kavanagh for the past few years. 

I’m so pleased to be working closely with such a strong, and amazing group of prefects this year, and it makes me so excited for what this year will hold, and all the exciting things to come. Though the course of this year is filled with lots of uncertainty, I know for sure that as long as we stay positive, and stay as amazing as we are, we will have one amazing year ahead!
