Dunedin Netball in partnership with Netball South are proud to present an exciting line-up of courses to aid you in your coaching endeavours in the 2018 season and into the future!
The courses include content which is of value to your coaching, as well as being delivered by quality and specialist deliverers. Not only are these courses extremely valuable, they also count towards coaching qualifications!*
2018 Start of Season Fundamentals
5 April
Coaching Fundamentals: Netball Smart and Player Centred Coaching
Time: 6-8pm; Venue: Edgar Centre.
Description: A lot of quality information is packed into this session!
The Netball Smart Seminar will set your team in good stead for the season. The warmups are proven to reduce injuries by up to 40%. Learn about the new Power Warmups which can be adapted to tournament and normal netball days. You also get a full manual, workbook and quick reference cards to take away for FREE!
Learning about player centred coaching will enable coaches to gain an understanding of the importance of reflective practice, reflection and how to use it to positively impact both coach and player experience and performance. This course is also key if you are wanting to progress on the coaching pathway.
6 April
Season Planning
Time: 6.00-8.00pm; Venue: Edgar Centre
Description: Delivered by Southern Steel Assistant Coach, Lauren Piebenga, this course will help equip you with the tools to plan and ensure you and your team are on the front foot and ready to get the most out of the season!
9 April
Team Culture
Time: 6.00-8.00pm; Venue: Edgar Centre
Description: The Steel won the inaugural Domestic New Zealand Championship in 2017. You can't argue they have got their culture spot on! Who better to lead this session than Lauren Piebenga, Steel Assistant Coach. You will use the case study of the Steel to take learnings for your own team, helping to again set your team (and perhaps even club or school) on a very positive path for 2018!
