For the last two weeks of term, we have been celebrating our junior readers with parties and prizes in the library.
During term 3, the library has been working with the Year 7 and 8 classes to increase reading engagement. Along with our existing Kavanagh College Reading Challenge, we have been throwing class parties to reward our students for their effort. Canteen vouchers were awarded to the students who completed the most reading challenges, and to students who have been working hard on improving their reading. Our Year 7 and 8 students have been reading up a storm, outdoing previous terms' reading challenge results. It has been a great success and is something we hope to run again next year. Well done, Years 7 and 8. Keep up the good work!
