From 2021, Kavanagh College has a new junior school programme, Te Timotanga, which is based on evidence from educational research. This has led us to develop a programme for Year 7 – 9 students to enhance student engagement and academic improvement.

All international student enrolments can now be completed online - which removes the need for paperwork and is an easier process for students, agents and families.

Last Friday night we held our annual senior formal for Y12 and Y13 students at Otago Museum.

This years' Y12 and 13's are all in the process of planning or applying for their future universities.

After years of extremely hard work, our Head Girl is off to the 2021 Olympics in the NZ Swimming Team.

Where can you find snails, mice, an owl, frogs, moths, rabbits and flowers - not to mention a few stilt walkers, various musicians, several dancing groups and lanterns galore? In the parade at Dunedin’s annual Midwinter Carnival, of course!

Congratulations to Tobias Devereux who received an A+/100% in his 300 level Modern Algebra paper through Massey University for first semester.

We are extremely excited to announce that Kavanagh College will be participating in Shave for a Cure at the end of this term.

Kavanaghs very own Chloe Uluakiola, Lola van de Klundert, Isobelle Mahoney and Evie de Graaf competed with their Rasa Diamond crew in the Hip Hop Unite World competition in Wellington recently!

Congratulations to Lam Duong and Karn Lertjirawong who were both in the Otago U15 team and to Joseph Tupai who was in the Otago U13 team.

The year 12 Biology students had a trip to Swampy Summit, via Leith Saddle last Friday.
