They had a full day of workshops to help develop their understanding of road safety as they begin to learn to drive.

Students who are interested in public speaking, debating and drama should consider getting involved with the Bishop's Shield competition which will be held early in Term 3 (12-14 August 2022).

Dr Jen Cattermole from Otago University came to visit the Music Tech class on Tuesday to demonstrate some of the Taonga Pūoro, and allow them to record some samples for their music project.

Last Saturday some Kavanagh students (Tyelah Campbell, Sam Kelly, Jamie Hall and Jack Pearson-Howell) performed at Toitū as part of NZ Music Month, while some more of our musicians will be performing there this Saturday (14 May).

In Term 2 the PFA are excited to be hosting a Quiz Night on Thursday 26th May at 7:00pm at The Kensington to raise funds towards the purchase of two outdoor basketball systems and some outdoor lunch benches and tables.

This week the first band will be Sam, Jack P-H, and Jamie playing some hits in the auditorium tomorrow lunchtime (Friday 13th May).

A reminder of the procedure should adverse weather affect the school day

Congratulations to Year 13 student Katie Pullar who was recently selected in the Otago U19 Volleyball team.

Over the weekend we had several Kavanagh College students involved in a rep basketball pre season tournament in Invercargill.

The annual Kavanagh College cross country was held in beautiful conditions at Jubilee Park on Friday, 6 May.

Swimming Otago welcomes and encourages all secondary school students to enter the 2022 Otago Secondary School Championships being held at Moana Pool on Sunday 29th May 2022.
