During my time here at Trinity Catholic College there are many wondrous things that I have been a part of, like the Year 8 camp and the many trips I did in classes.

For us, Trinity Catholic College is more than just a school. It’s also a place that’s filled with heartwarming memories and incredible experiences. We wouldn’t have felt so welcomed if it weren’t for our friends, host families, and teachers. The five of us were more than happy to spend two and a half months in such an amazing place. We had the opportunity to get out there in the world, as well as make new friends, join new communities, learn new cultures, create lasting memories, and we will forever be grateful for it.

I went to Queenstown on a ski trip for 3 days from Friday to Sunday. I was snowboarding at Cardrona ski field. I was really looking forward to the ski trip since I had decided to study at Trinity Catholic College.

My name is Apinya. I am a Thai girl who has been studying at the College for three years. Kavanagh College is more than a high school for me, but it is a place that has given me experience, cultures, friendship and many fantastic memories.

Kavanagh is like a family to me since there are lots of nice and helpful teachers and students to meet and be friends with.

It is hard to believe that I am actually leaving Kavanagh College, after the four years that I have been here. It really wouldn’t have been possible for me to achieve all my goals without all the lovely, supportive staff here at Kavanagh as well as the awesome class of 2020.

I came to NZ when I was around twelve, and now I am seventeen and just graduated. I have spent around five years in Kavanagh College.

I studied in Kavanagh for two and a half years. I really enjoyed school life in Kavanagh, Dunedin.

Exchange isn’t a year in a life it is a life in a year. I came to New Zealand last July so would like to tell you about my time in Dunedin.

On Friday afternoon we were around 30 excited students leaving for skiing. The mood was high and loud music was played on our way.

In my Kavanagh, Dunedin and NZ life for 3 years, I’ve experienced a lot of things that would not be possible to experience in high school life in Japan. I feel really happy that I could study in Kavanagh for 3 years with friendly friends and gentle teachers.

This year in New Zealand has been really amazing. I’m so glad that I’ve chosen New Zealand as my first choice out of five spaces. The reason why I chose New Zealand was the beautiful nature and scenery, but after my experience from the year I think the friendliness of people is the prettiest part.

I have been here in Dunedin, NZ for six and a half months. I have learnt lots of things, not just English, but also life experience.

I cannot. I truly cannot imagine how I'll be feeling when I step out of Kavanagh College for the very last time.

I have been here in Kavanagh, Dunedin and NZ for 7 months. I had wonderful time with nice people. I could experience a lot of things that I never experienced in Japan.

Coming to New Zealand was probably one of the best decisions of my life. In my 10 months at Kavanagh College I have made so many new friends and experienced a completely different culture.

Coming to Kavanagh College must be one of the decisions that made me very proud of so far in my life.

When we start to think about being an exchange student we never imagine what exactly will happen, but it isn't bad, it's very good, because we are going to experiment with the unknown, and it is where we begin to grow.
