Envirogroup is Back!

Envirogroup began with a meeting on Friday of week 5 and last week was a week of action.  On Monday the students assembled the new Hungry Bin worm farm after school (thanks to the DCC waste minimisation fund). The juniors dug the potatoes that were growing in the compost and donated them to the cooking room on Tuesday, and on Friday four year 11 students attended the Enviroschools Hui at St Kilda where they learnt about the history of the area, the NZ Sea Lion and the importance of our marine reserves.  

The next meeting is this Friday (14 March) at lunchtime if any new members would like to join. There is a very strong presence from year 7 and year 11, with a few from year 10 and 13 too.  We meet in the courtyard outside the office when it is fine and upstairs in the library when it is wet.
