GOLD at the NZ Surf Lifesaving Champs for Hoexum

The 2025 AON New Zealand Surf Life Saving Championships represents the pinnacle event of the season for Surf Lifesavers across the motu, with over 1200 athletes attending the event held in Gisborne recently.
Year 12 Trinity Catholic College student Sophie Hoexum is a member of the Warrington SLSC and over the recent weekend (7 - 9 March), Sophie competed in the U19 women's canoe team at the SLSNZ National Competition in Gisborne. Sophie's team placed first in both the short and long course events.
