Thank you for becoming a valued homestay family for Trinity Catholic College. We hope that the experience will be happy and successful for both you and your student.

There are many positives to hosting a student from another culture. If you have hosted a student before, then you will know the benefits of meeting and caring for someone from another background.

We hope that you will be delighted by the new perspectives this experience will bring, and that in return, you will care for your student in the same way that you would care for your own child.

This guide is not intended to be a prescriptive rule book of how to care for your student. In most cases, your own judgement will be the best guide. However, there may be times when you need the school's viewpoint of help with clarifying an issue. 

This booklet may also be used as a starting point for discussion or as a handy reference tool if or when challenges present themselves.
