What you can expect from the school

We are here to support you at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns.

Homestay Payments:

These are usually paid by automatic payment into your nominated account. Please provide a deposit slip with your bank account details and inform the school if anything changes. Our business manager is the contact person if you have payment queries.

Police Vetting:

Police vetting will need to be completed by the school for any adults over 18 who spend a significant amount of time within the home. This includes other adult boarders and/or partners.

Extension of Homestay:

If the student or their parents request that a student stays longer in NZ, then both parties must agree to an extension. The school can also assist with initial negotiations around extension, but for students who have graduated at the end of year 13, the agreement itself will become a private matter once the student is no longer enrolled at Trinity.

Termination of Homestay:

If a student wishes to change their homestay, we will endeavour to provide two weeks notice where possible. However, there may be situations where it is necessary for the school to remove a student without prior notice or agreement. Similarly, if you request that a student be removed, then they are also entitled to two weeks notice where possible.

It is very helpful if we could receive early notification of any changes, arrivals or departures, to make payments and alterations easier for all. If you have any enquiries relating to money matters, please phone the Business Manager on 03 477 3408 ext 206.

Weekly newsletters:

Important information can be found in the school newsletters and these are available online at https://www.trinity.school.nz/latest-news/
