Special Character Report 2025

This marks the first of our Special Character Reports for 2025. A very special part of our school culture, and a very important part of what we strive to do each and every day.
Kia Ora everyone!
Welcome back to the start of the 2025 school year. An extra welcome to all of our new students joining us here at Trinity Catholic College. We hope that you have all had a wonderful first few weeks.
Isa Binu and I will be your Special Character Prefects for 2025. Currently Isa is over seasons on a special trip visiting family in India. We are looking to the end of week 3 this week and have started the year off strong.
On the 31st of January, we had our Opening Mass for the beginning of the year which focused on love and the special character within our community here at Trinity Catholic College.
This year we will be introducing to you two special character leaders from each year group. We will work with them as a team to serve our school community. We look forward to introducing them to you.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, We pray for:
Strength - that God gives us the strength to do what is needed each day.
Courage - that we will be brave as we face the challenges that are before us.
Peace - that our hearts will be calm and peaceful as they go through our day and in our sleep at night.
Provision - asking God to provide for all that we need - for stamina, spirit, and finances - for each day.
Direction - that we will be led to embrace what is good and right.
Protection - that God keeps us safe in this increasingly unsafe world and protects us from harm and wickedness.
Joy - that God fills us with the kind of bliss joy that can only come from the Divine.
Compassion - that we will show compassion towards those in need and who have less than we do.
Justice - to give us a sense of justice to stand up for what is right and to defend the weak.
Wisdom - that we will grow in knowledge and understanding.
Hope - to give us the hope that comes from above - the kind that far exceeds what we have in the here and now.
Love - that our family and friends are filled with the love of God. That they will know how deeply they are loved, and that love will overflow onto others.
