Welcome

Thank you for choosing Trinity Catholic College to be your new home and learning environment. We hope that you will be very happy here.

We want to make your time with us successful and happy, so we ask that you respect the following guidelines for your homestay experience:

  • Please ask your homestay family about the rules and expectations that they have.
  • Spend time talking with your homestay family and learning about kiwi culture.
  • If you are unsure about something, please ask your homestay parents questions and accept their advice and guidance.
  • Ask them questions about themselves and talk to them about your family, culture and country.
  • Share details about your day at school and the people that you spend time with
  • Show respect to your homestay family. Always use good manners: Please/Thank you/Good Morning and Good Night are just the start.
  • Always ask first if you want to do something - do not help yourself unless they tell you that it's OK
  • Be honest about what you're doing and where you are
  • Always be on time for school and prepared to learn.
  • If you are unwell, your host parent is to notify school. You must always bring a letter from your homestay parent to school when you return to class after time away for sickness.
