Researching coastal processes was the focus of a recent excursion to local beaches for our senior geography classes.
The Year 12/13 Geography class recently took part in their Dunedin field trip looking at how the interacting coastal processes form and change our coastline.
The students gathered primary data in groups at both Tomahawk and St Clair beaches and they were lucky enough to get some valuable insights from Mike Cummings who works for the Otago Regional Council. They will use this primary data to now complete their Geographic Research.
Highlights of the day included some beautiful weather, great students and hot chips at the dairy! A big thanks to Mike Campbell for joining us.
