This Term, Rākau tamariki have had the pleasure of having some tuakana/teina sessions with Mana College students. They have been visiting on Monday afternoons to coach and teach our tamariki Football, Netball, Basketball, and Rippa. On Wednesday in Week 9, the coaching students organised a tournament at Te Rauparaha arena so the skills could be put into practise. This was a time for the Mana College students to be assessed on their learning, and a chance for our tamariki to put their new sporting skills into practise. They had a blast playing sport against each other, and learning from the older students. What a way to end a Term full of active learning!
