We have been notified by a member of the public that a child was hit on Te Puke Street on Friday afternoon just after 3.00pm.   The child ran into the back of his car and had run out between two parked vehicles without looking.   He was unable to talk to the boy as he ran off but it is a timely reminder to talk to your tamariki about the importance of road safety.   The child was also seen running across Te Pene Ave just before the crossing prior to this happening.  If there is a crossing available then tamariki should be using this, please talk to them about this.
