A fantastic day out with 50 Kura students, ranging from year 4, 5 and 6 at non-stop cricket on Wednesday. All 5 of our teams, Bay Moana, Bay Awa, Bay Totara, Bay Kauri and Bay Kōwhai played 4 games each against other schools across Porirua, as well as the odd game against each other. Amazingly, over half of the students had never played a game of cricket before in their lives. Each student played with a big smile on their faces, showed outstanding Kura values, while trying out a new skill. I was amazed at the skill level shown by all of our students throughout the day! A massive thank you to our parents/coaches for giving up their time to ensure all of our Kura kids had a great day, as well as the parents who came out to cheer everyone on!
