KERRY'S THOUGHTS 

Alert Level 2 - Reconnect, Routines and Learning.  Our community is a pretty special place and I think we take for granted how kind people are to each other.  Alert Level 4 came fast and our school community were just amazing.   This time around we just needed to stay home, stay safe and online learning happened again.

This time whānau gave license to either get involved in all learning or just pop into the areas of interest.   We loved this and we also loved the motivation from our KURA kids who wanted to engage with their teachers.   So many things have been postponed or cancelled and we are not going to spend too much energy being sad.  It is life and we want our KURA kids to know good events and times are just around the corner.

The school hāngi I have postponed for now.   
At Alert Level 2 the year 4-6 show cannot go ahead as planned.   
Our teachers will contact you and we will probably stream the link to the show. 
The first day back at school was a dream, our KURA kids just wanted to be back with their friends and connecting to their class.   Thank you to all the whānau who returned devices, we will contact anyone who hasn't as we need these for our programs.

Jacinta will be in contact with our Netball and Hockey coaches and players about prize giving which will also probably be streamed to whānau.  

Just a reminder if your KURA kid does not like school lunches and you have started sending lunch with them each day let us know as we will take them off the school list and then there is less wastage.
