A huge congratulations to Mason Hutchinson and Caelyn Faalua who were recognised for their leadership qualities at the Porirua Rotary Young Leader Awards this week. Below are the blurbs that were read out in front of a packed out Elim Church.

Caelyn Faalua

Congratulations on being an amazing leader at our school Caelyn. You possess an exemplary array of qualities that have rightly earned you this recognition and the admiration of your peers. Your ability to go above and beyond, always demonstrate dedication to helping others, leading Kapa Haka and nurturing our younger ākonga is exceptional.

Mason Hutchinson

You are a born leader Mason. Your peers admire you because of your ability to lead with your head and heart by doing your best and inspiring others around you. You lead in Pasifika and Kapa Haka, the sports fields and the classroom and you did it with a ton of humility. Thank you for being an exceptional role model for all of the tamariki at kura.
