You couldn’t have asked for a better day to spend at Waikanae Pools!  The sun was shining, sunscreen applied and the fun was never ending. There were piggy back rides, tubes to cruise around on, games of tag and the good old holding your breath competitions. It was great to see kids organising sports games of cricket and flag when they needed a break from the pool. The biggest highlight was the massive whirlpool at the end of the day. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it and enjoyed fighting the current when it was time to turn around. We were also lucky enough to enjoy an ice-block after a day of fun and excitement to wind down. A big thank you to Mrs Delaney for allowing this to happen without cost to our tamariki. Also a big thank you to all the parents who came along to make this day possible.
