ŌTAKI YOUNG PEOPLES MARKET
Kia ora, I'm Claire from the Ōtaki Market, we are hosting our 3rd Young Peoples Market on Sunday 16 July 2023, young people get to be the stall holders!
We thought your school would be interested in this initiative. It's a great opportunity for our rangatahi to show off their entrepreneurial skills, manage their own stock, run a stall, make money and have fun in the process! They can do this individually, or as a group.
Stall fee is usually $10, but for the Young People's Market it's a koha / donation to be paid on the day. We'd love to spread the word and it would be great if you could put this into your school newsletter or any notice boards.
In January and April, we gained media attention with articles in the Ōtaki Mail, NZ Hearld and a spot on NewsTalkZB and we even appeared on television! TVNZ 1 Breakfast with three young people representing the Kids Market with a live interview.

This is now a regular feature on our calendar. We are busy putting together an awesome schedule of events, activities and giveaways on the day.
We are a market with a difference, the longest running market on the Kapiti Coast and managed by the Ōtaki Women's Community Club, a charity. 100% of the proceeds from market back into the local community.
Kind regards
