Like driving, movies and many other things in life, age restrictions are put in place for very good reasons. Our tamariki and their childhood years are so precious and research confirms that their brains are not ready for many of these things that have older restrictions in place. Let’s support our tamariki by keeping them doing things that are appropriate for the age group. 

We are aware that many of our KURA kids are on social media outside of school and this at a young age can cause problems when someone writes something about another person. Please check out Netsafe and look at what you can do as a parent to help your KURA kid - this is very important.  Remember that most Social Media platforms have age restrictions, these are there for a reason.   If tamariki are using phones during school time these will be taken off them and given to the office.   We will ask a parent to come and collect these from the office.
