SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AT NGĀ MANU NATURE RESERVE

The school holidays are almost upon us and we have some wonderful children's activities...

Children's Art & Nature Day with Harriet Bright July 12th, 10am to 3pm

This day of nature and art will be a combination of drawing games with a nature focus.

Harriet Bright will be familiar to many, known artist residing on the Kāpiti Coast and a facilitator and coordinator for school projects with Mahara Gallery & Ngā Manu. We are thrilled to have her running this very limited workshop.

This workshop is strictly limited to 15 students aged between 7 – 12 years.

Children will need packed lunch, drink and weather appropriate clothes, including rain oat and gumboots.

Price:

Friends of Ngā Manu - $55
Non members - $60

Refunds on cancellations will only be given 48hrs prior to the event starting.

Should the event be cancelled due to COVID Alert Level changes, you will receive a full refund.

Children's Art & Nature Day

Golden Kiwi Egg Hunt July 9th - 24th, 10am to 5pm

Included with entry fee (No charge for Friends of Ngā Manu)

Find the locations of 8 Golden Kiwi Eggs hidden in the reserve and answer the questions to enter our weekly prize draw to win a Friends of Ngā Manu Family Membership ($100 value and valid for 12 months).

A winner will be drawn at random on Sunday 17th July & Monday 25th July

Existing Friends of Ngā Manu will have an additional 12 months added to their membership.

We will also be running two eel talks every day during the school holidays; one at 11am, the other at 2pm. The talks are free, but if you want to feed the eels it will be $2 per person. Tokens can be purchased at the Visitor Centre
