GIRLS' BASKETBALL LEAGUE FINISHES WITH A THRILLING KURA BATTLE!

Lisa Campbell —

What an incredible season it has been for the girls' basketball league at Titahi Bay School! The teams—Bay Kea, Kererū, and Pūteketeke—showed amazing skills and teamwork throughout the season, making every game a joy to watch. The grand final saw an exciting KURA battle between Pūteketeke and Bay Kea, with Pūteketeke claiming the championship title. What a game!

It’s been fantastic to see how the girls’ netball skills transferred seamlessly to basketball, with lots of passing, teamwork, and determination on display. The league was full of energy, hard work, and fair play, creating a positive and competitive atmosphere.

A massive thank you to our incredible coaches and managers—Leanne Parsons, Ryan Watson, Anastasia Hagai, and Ronnie Beattie. Your dedication and guidance made all the difference, helping the girls develop their skills and love for the game.

We’re so proud of everyone who participated, and we’re stoked to see the girls' league continue to grow and thrive in 2025. Ka mau te wehi, everyone!
