TUMUAKI PĀNUI

Matt Tilley —

Kia ora koutou ngā whānau o te kura o Tītahi Bay,

Term 4 is always an exciting term and there are always lots of fun-filled learning experiences going on. This week we saw our Enviro Leaders head away on a trip to Zealandia, Te Wana walk to the harbour, and with camp, zoo trips and much more coming up.

Next Thursday our Kapa Haka Performance Group will entertain whānau at Tītahi Bay Intermediate at Kotahitanga o Tuauru o Porirua. The event starts at 5:30 pm and weather permitting, it will be held outside. A small kai will be provided. It is strongly encouraged to watch all the performances and not just Tītahi Bay School.

We are beginning the process of class placements. When placing students in classes, we make every effort to ensure classes are well balanced (gender, ability, social/emotional and academic needs), as well as ensuring students are placed with others who they work well with. It is worth noting they do not always work to their full potential alongside their best friends! We aim to place students in classes where they can be catered for effectively, where they will be happy and well matched to teacher strengths.

Looking ahead to 2023 sees our future year 6 tamariki head away to camp as early as week 3 in term 1. Please keep a lookout for information and if you intend on being a parent helper, clear the schedule.

Kia pai tō rā whakatā - Have a great weekend,

Matt Tilley - Tumuaki
