The Board held two meetings 11 May and 8 November. All Directors were present for both meetings except Judith McGinley was absent from the November meeting.

Death of an Honorary Board Member

Pauline O’Regan RSM, who contributed to the magazine by writing and promotion from its foundation, died in Christchurch on 2 May 2019. Pauline had diminished sight in her later years but still called the office to give her encouragement. 

Highlights

Two Subscribers’ and Friends’ Evenings were held in 2019 — Palmerston North 10 May and Auckland 7 November. The Palmerston North meeting was well attended with 36 subscribers. About 30 subscribers attended the Auckland meeting.

At each evening the Board showed appreciation for writers, promoters and other volunteers in the region who have given long-standing service to the magazine. Certificates of appreciation were given to:
