Tui Motu Board Hosts Subscribers' Evening in Palmerston North
About 40 Tui Motu readers gathered at the Diocesan Centre in Palmerston North from around the region - Whanganui, Ashhurst, Dannevirke and Palmerston North - to meet the Tui Motu Board and hear Patrick Snedden, the guest speaker for the evening.
Patrick Snedden presented the story of his involvement with a school in East Tamaki Auckland which through the clever use of technology has increased the learning performance of its children and spread its methods to other schools in the area. His infectious passion and commitment to the project was appreciated by the gathering and generated many questions.
The editor, Ann Gilroy, also spoke about her editorial vision for the magazine and the developments of the digital face of Tui Motu - the website, Facebook, Twitter and the monthly newsletter.
The following day the Board met for the AGM of the Independent Catholic Magazine Limited, trading as Tui Motu InterIslands Magazine. Elizabeth Mackie OP retired from the Board and Judith McGinley OP was appointed as a new Director.
