We have published four issues of Tui Motu magazine, 283—286, since last Board meeting.
Issue 283 July was on the theme "Matariki — Remember, Celebrate, Resolve; Manawatia a Matariki" and featured articles on our relationship with the heavens and stars. Some readers commented favourably on the poem on priesthood by James Lyons in this issue.
Claire Ryan, who wrote in this issue about how the star cluster Matariki is named and remembered by people in different Pacific islands, offered an evening zoom session on Matariki to our readers before the public holiday. About 50 joined the excellent session.
Issue 284 August "What Can Women Do?; Ko mau nga Wahine ki te Hauru o te Rangi" discussed the reforms in the Church that women, particularly, are highlighting and hoping for in their preparation for the Synod on Synodality. We received positive feedback from readers about this issue.
The theme of Issue 285 September "Be Good in Earth; Kapai ki te Whenua" provided reading and reflection for spring and the Season of Creation. As well as the articles, many readers commented on their appreciation of the art in this issue.
Issue 286 October on the theme "Work for the Common Good; Mahi me to pai Whanui" is published in the month when we we have three notable events that will impact on the common good: our General Election, the first session of the Synod on Synodality in Rome and the Voice referendum in Australia.
