Albatross in shingles
There is an Albatross
There is an albatross
trapped within our shingles
She is sawing through the radiata pine.
She can hear the Pacific Ocean calling.
Is it her spirit or is it mine.
There is a darkness about
this place descending
Carnage is all around.
In Linwood bodies are amassing.
They are preparing to lie
them in the ground
I long to see you again flying
So majestic, so sublime
You have touched me very deeply
For in you I have glimpsed the divine.
There is an albatross
trapped within our shingles
She is sawing through the radiata pine
She can hear the Pacific Ocean calling
Is it her spirit or is it mine.
