Respecting Human Dignity

Ann Gilroy —

Your March issue of Tui Motu magazine is on the way thanks to the assistance of our great band of volunteers here in Dunedin.

The cover image by Dunedin artist, Fiona Stirling, captures the theme of this issue and we thank Fiona for allowing her beautiful work to grace our magazine.

On the Move

Kevin Toomey OP, former editor of Tui Motu magazine and a Board director for the last 3 years, has been called to be Prior of the Dominican house in Melbourne. We will miss him on the Board and thank him for his contributions over the last 20 years of Tui Motu magazine's life. We charge him with promoting the magazine in Melbourne!

Elizabeth Mackie's Farewell

We will begin Elizabeth's retirement farewell with a celebratory morning tea at our Tui Motu office on Wednesday. If the weather holds up we will be able to spill out into the backyard that has recently been converted into a level, shingled carpark area. (The ducks are the only ones complaining about this development as they enjoyed the lake when it rained.)

Auckland subscribers will have the opportunity of farewelling Elizabeth at the Board subscribers' evening in Auckland, 5 May at St Columba Centre, Ponsonby.

Tui Motu Magazine Reading Groups

We have heard of a few enthusiastic Tui Motu reading groups around the country where people gather over a cuppa and discuss an article in the magazine. We recommend this idea if you'd like to start a group.

Advance Notice

After Easter we will be having a month of daily inspirational quotes taken from articles in Tui Motu magazine from 1997-2017. If you or your friends would like to receive a daily email for a month starting on 24th April sign up on the homepage of our website for the Easter Inspiration or send us an email and we'll sign you up.

Do enjoy your March issue of Tui Motu magazine.
