God, you know our hearts and minds and our yearning to bring up our families in peace.
May your Spirit work among us so that
those mediating for a solution to the ongoing violence in Ukraine 
and the cease fire of the Israeli war on Gaza will prevail;
that both sides in the conflicts be listened to, 

that they agree to conditions for peace and lay down their weapons;

 and that we, the global community, support them to rebuild their lives, homes and livelihoods.
May we hold as inviolable that the price of war in death, grief, trauma, destruction and misery is too high;
and guide us to choose wise and competent leaders in every nation.
