April Newsletter

Ann Gilroy —

The Easter magazine, the April issue, was posted today so should be in New Zealand mailboxes towards the end of the week and at international destinations shortly after.

You may like to use the magazine cover painting by the German priest artist Sieger Köder for reflection as the weeks lead to Holy Week and Easter. The Holy Thursday ritual of the washing of the feet is not just about priests washing parishioners feet. It invites all followers of Christ to offer service humbly — as we've seen vivid examples over and over in the aftermath of the shooting of Muslim people at prayer last month. We can't let our practice fade as time dims the shock of the tragedy. The new life of Easter can freshen our resolve to continue to serve in myriad ways.

Post-Easter Daily Inspirational Reflections

We are offering our daily post-Easter inspiration emails for a month beginning on 28 April. If you'd like to receive them — a brief thought from the Tui Motu magazine back copies coupled with an image — sign up on our website or send me a message asking to be included. If you received them last year you do not have to sign up again. The photo below shows the sign-up place on the homepage of our website

Tui Motu Subscribers' Evening in Palmerston North — Friday 10 May

Farewell to Pleroma's Shirley Duthie

Shirley Duthie, a founder and general manager of Pleroma Christian Supplies, is retiring at the end of the month. Shirley we hope your new life is full, relaxing and studded with many wonderful surprises. Thank you for your constant support of Tui Motu through advertising and supplying review books for many years.

Used Stamps

THANK YOU to all who are collecting and sending your used stamps. We received several parcels of stamps during the month as the photo below shows. We have a group in Dunedin who prepare them for sale and the proceeds will go to Mary MacKillop Today projects in Peru and Timor Leste. Thank you!

Happy Easter reading!
